GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN.....

TIMBERLINE'S BOUNTY HUNTER, CD
(CH. Shieldmont's Game Plan x Timberline's Midnight Magic)
This is Gunner, the one who started it all. He was a beautiful golden brindle with flashy white markings. He was my first Boxer, and a great companion. I learned alot from him. His breeders are Karen Fesler and Linda Lauer of St. Cloud, FL.(Timberline Boxers) He came from a litter of 8 puppies, 7 of them boys! Though Gunner was never shown in conformation classes, he certainly did well in the obedience ring. His scores in the Novice B class were in the high 190's, he placed in the top 4 against tough competition, and missed a Dog World award by 1/2 a point. He earned his CD in April of '90, and was ready to start competing for his CDX title. Then a friend of mine had to stop showing her boxer because of the dog's epilepsy, so I gave Gunner to her so she could continue showing. Unfortunately, tragedy struck, and Gunner passed away that summer. He was 4 yrs old. Though his full potential will never be known, he was a great dog and touched the lives of many people.

MARILYNS TYBREAKER OF ASGARD, UD
CH. Salgray's Black Tie x Sultan's Vixen of Asgard
This is Breaker. He was a very special boy. Although he did not belong to me, I knew him since he was just 2 days old. Breaky belonged to Marilyn Krejci and he was very dear to her. He earned his CD, CDX, and UD titles before he was 3 yrs old, and he had even earned a couple of UDX legs before his untimely death. Yes, Breaker died young, one month before his 3rd birthday. He dropped dead at Marilyn's feet one night at training, less than a month after earning his UD. He died of Dialated Cardiomyopathy, which is a known inherited disorder of the heart and is present in Boxers, being more prevalent in some lines than others.  We found out later that several of his half-siblings (different dams) also were diagnosed with Dialated Cardiomyopathy.  Because of Breaker, I do all I can to ensure that I produce puppies with healthy hearts, and avoid lines that are more prone to producing this disease.

Marilyns Lucky Niki of Asgard, UDT
Ch. Bropat's Red Alert of Asgard, SOM x Sultan's Diamond Belle, DOM
Niki @ 2 yrs
Niki was a very special dog to Marilyn, Steve, and their friends. She was born January 2, 1987, and left us on March 3, 1999. She had been Steve's dog when he was alive and showing, and after he passed away, Marilyn and myself continued to show her. We gained many good scores, and a UDX leg, but Niki's heart just wasn't in it anymore. She always seemed to be looking out into the crowd, searching for something. We liked to believe she was looking for Steve.
Niki had one of the prettiest heads, and the best shoulders I've ever seen.  She was shown in conformation and garnered a couple points and a major reserve, but as her owners did not let her go with a handler, she never had the chance to finish.  She had 5 champion brothers and sisters though, a tribute to her excellent breeding.
After 12 good years, she succumbed to cancer, passing away quietly in my arms. She is now with the one person she loved the most. God Speed sweet Niki, I miss you.

MARILYN AND STEVE KREJCI
This picture of Marilyn was taken in the summer of 94. She is shown with the two dogs she loved the most, OTCH Marilyn's Tina Marie of Bropat, UDX, TD, and Marilyn's TyBreaker of Asgard, UD. Marilyn died in May of 1999. She was my dearest friend.
Marilyn and Steve have created one of the biggest legacies in Boxerdom's Obedience History. Together they earned 12 CD's, 11 CDX's, 9 UD's, 9 TD's, 1 UDX, and 1 OTCH on 12 dogs. "Tina" was the first  Boxer to earn the coveted "Obedience Trial Champion" in the U.S., and she was the first Boxer to earn a "Utility Dog Excellent" degree.
Marilyn and Steve became active members of the Orlando Dog Training Club and both served as President of the club for many years. They were also founding members of the Tracking Club of Central Florida, and Steve was also an AKC Tracking Judge. Together their influence in obedience is amazing if not legendary. They always took time to encourage the novice trainers and made many lasting friends over the years. They have been an inspiration to hundreds of people, including myself, and their legacy will continue on indefinitely.
This picture was taken in the early 80's, and it is one of the most valued pictures in the hearts of Steve and Marilyn's friends. Steve died in May of 1991. He was a truly wonderful man who went out of his way to help anybody and everybody. Although he enjoyed competing in obedience, his forte' was the tracking fields. Steve earned Tracking Dog(TD) titles on 9 of their boxers, 8 of whom also earned the UD title. He also earned the first TDX on a boxer, at the first TDX test approved by AKC. But after the TDX test was run, an anonymous complaint was made that there must have been "something wrong" at that test since 'too many' dogs passed, and AKC decided to void the test without investigating. Official or not, that honor can never be taken away from the ones who earned it. In the picture, from left to right are: Steve Krejci; Ha-Mar Something Special, UD,TD; Scarborough Seeing Double, UD,TD; Marilyns Southern Sand, UD,TD; and Marilyns Summer Tan of Asgard, UD,TD.

"The Boxer"
And to my dearest Ray-I miss you now more than ever. Not a day, an hour, nor a minute passes that you are not in my thoughts. How can I put two and a half years behind me? The day you died, a part of me died with you; how do I go on living? How does one cope with a loss so great, a grief so deep, that it shakes the very foundation of one's faith? To be able to accept that it was part of God's plan? For once in my life I don't want to believe. I don't want to accept. I can only pray that time and God's love will bring peace and understanding back into my life. And the hope for that is what must sustain me. Until we meet again, I love you and miss you with all my heart.  Thank you for believing in me.
