March 6, 1995 ~ November 5, 2008
This is Molly, the love of my life.  Born March 6, 1995, she came to me rather by accident, or maybe it was fate.  I had gone to her breeders in search of a flashy bitch for showing and breeding.  But the only one he had at the time he was keeping for himself.  Molly was the runt of her litter, and earmarked to go to someone else, but she demanded attention, and thus was brought out for me to look at.  Frozen  on the table top, she became a whirlwind the moment her feet hit the ground!  I picked her up and she gazed right into my eyes.  Something clicked, and I knew that she had to be mine.  Two weeks later she came home with me from the ABC, and she was by my side for 13 1/2 wonderful years.
All of 45 pounds, she failed to 'mature', and so she was never shown in conformation nor bred.  I have taught her thru Utility in obedience, but her extremely sensitive feet made heeling impossible, so she never earned a title.  She did earn her CGC in 2001.  Although she didn't turn out to be my 'show dog' or 'breeding' bitch, I couldn't possibly love her more.  She's wonderful with children, other dogs and animals, and is the embodiment of the perfect boxer personality.
In March of 2002, Molly was diagnosed with ARVC, more commonly known as "Boxer Cardiomyopathy".  At the time of her death,  she was still completly assymptomatic, so never needed medication.  At 13 years old, she was echo'd by Dr. Kate Meurs and cleared of SAS.
Although I wanted her to live forever, time cannot be stopped.  Molly slowly declined over the summer as her body simply wore out.  Letting her go was the hardest thing I've ever had to do.  Molly truly was the "Sunshine" of my life!

Molly on her 12th birthday!  Still doing great!
